super fast and efficient hiring process from applying to getting the offer!!! they were super responsive and professional, they gave me all the info i needed to prep for the interviews and accept the offer!!! 1. applied on linkedin 2. got an email from hr within 2-3 days to start the conversation with basic questions about my background and the job 3. first interview with the CEO! we reviewed some SQL questions to check my SQL skills and how i explain and present my work and logic 4. second interview with a senior data consultant to discuss my background and sql and data analysis knowledge 5. got the job offer! :) everyone i met during the interviews was professional and clear about the process and decisions. this was one of the best hiring experiences ever!

So the first part was a Zoom audio call with the recruiter who works there. They seemed really impatient and rude, which was weird and totally uncalled for. Anyway, I stayed cool and professional, even though that's not how recruiters usually act. I guess some people just aren't cut out for it, or maybe they just didn't like me. Could be they were just having a terrible day. It was super strange because literally a minute after we hung up, I got an email saying they weren't moving forward. Yeah, right. Oh well. Honestly, I probably dodged a bullet, who knows how they treat people if they can't even be decent to someone qualified with tons of experience.

The entire interview experience was really well put together and quick. A recruiter connected with me on LinkedIn and gave me a good overview of the job and its responsibilities. The process included a first call with the recruiter, a live SQL assessment, a take-home assignment, and a final interview. Everyone I interacted with was nice, encouraging, and helpful. It wasn't a walk in the park, but if you have the right skills and are a SQL expert as they require, you'll likely find it enjoyable, like I did. I've been at Bytecode for over a year, and compared to other companies, Bytecode offered the best interview and onboarding process, providing the necessary support to succeed in a new role.

It was a 3-tier interview process that allowed you to talk to 3 different people in the company in all different roles. I thought that they were great at getting at the technical skills you needed in order to perform the job right away in the 1st interview. Then, in the 2nd interview you demonstrated your understanding of those technical skills by presenting and walking through them and then the 3rd interview was more centered around company values and if you were a good fit.
