The process was great. After I applied, the Head of Network Development reached out to me to conduct the initial phone interview. She asked the basic questions like what interested me, what experience I have, what email systems I was familiar with, salary range, etc. After that phone interview, I was asked to meet with one of the co-founders. That meeting was very informal, we met at a Starbucks and just chatted. He asked me about my work history, asked me why one of my business ventures had failed, we talked a little bit about compensation but overall it was just a get-to-know-you meeting. The only thing that others might find difficult was how informal the process was. Phone calls, no set number of interviews, and just in general it was very relaxed but professional.

The process was pretty bad. First, I talked to a recruiter, then they sent me a take-home project with a very tight deadline, like just a few days, and the requirements were for a huge project. Even after I finished it, the recruiter acknowledged it and said the hiring manager was impressed. Then, they set up technical interviews, which I went through, and talked to the hiring manager, and I'm still waiting. It felt like a complete waste of my time. Be careful with this company; they don't respect people's time and effort.

I had a good chat with management, and the next step was a developer panel interview. It quickly became apparent that they had simply searched for React Native interview questions online and didn't have much, if any, actual experience with React Native themselves. They seemed unsure about the correct way to set up a React Native project, and it felt like I was being interviewed by junior developers fresh out of a coding bootcamp, except for one person who mentioned they were still learning React Native.

I went through 3 interview processes with different people. They got back to me each day and it moved really fast. I had a final interview that I thought went well and they said they'd let me know in a week. After waiting 2 months and sending several follow-up emails, they totally ghosted me without any feedback or rejection email. Super unprofessional, makes me think I dodged a bullet if this is how they treat candidates.
