First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Buyers Edge Platform.
Data Standardization Specialist
I had a 20 minute intro interview with HR, then an Excel test. If that went well, I had a follow-up interview with two people from the department that was about 35 minutes. Both interviews were pretty chill, and the people were nice and answered questions. I didn't get an offer, but they told me what was happening at each step. It was a good interview experience.
- What's the best kind of manager for you to work with?
- How do you prefer to work: by juggling multiple tasks or by focusing on one at a time?
Internal Communications Manager
I went through three rounds of interviews with Buyers Edge Platform, including one in-person at their Waltham office. It's been a month since that last in-person interview and I haven't heard back, even after emailing the hiring manager and recruiter multiple times. This whole experience was disappointing, especially since the interviews themselves were enjoyable.
- What strategies would you use to keep a geographically dispersed workforce informed and engaged with company news?
Account Manager
The recruiter reached out and scheduled a call. I attended the call on time, but the recruiter didn't show up. I emailed him multiple times, and after I contacted the main recruiting email about being ghosted, he finally responded and offered to reschedule, falsely claiming I had missed the initial call. He didn't address my emails proving I was present. He only rescheduled because I escalated. I should have requested a different recruiter but didn't want to cause more issues. During the call, he seemed a bit reserved, but the conversation flowed well. He mentioned my platform knowledge was better than his was before he was hired. Despite feeling the call went well, I received a rejection, citing a need for 2 years of sales experience, which is odd given I have eight. It didn't fit their needs, which I suspected from the start due to the unprofessional beginning. The negative reviews about their unprofessional recruiting team are accurate.
- Have you worked in SaaS sales before?
Software Engineer
It was a 3 part interview. First, a recruiter call, then two 30 minute interviews. Unfortunately, I didn't pass the first one. The first 30 minute interview was a rapid-fire technical quiz. Some topics, like DDD, weren't even on the job description. It was strange because there were no introductions, so it felt like a very impersonal way to meet the team, and they seemed more interested in just getting correct answers. It wasn't a typical interview, and the interviewer even discussed things that would get someone fired. There was also a 5-10 minute behavioral question section. It wasn't necessarily hard, but you'd struggle if you didn't know specific details. I wouldn't call it a difficult interview, but it's definitely challenging if you lack specific knowledge.
- If you had unlimited resources, what would you do?
