First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Buyerlink.
Project Manager
I went through a 7-round interview process for the Project Manager role at Buyerlink in American Fork, Utah, which took about two months to complete. It involved an initial HR screening, followed by interviews with a Senior Manager, a Director, a VP (which was in-person), an SVP, and the CTO. There was also a 60-minute technical assessment included. While I liked talking to different people and learning about the company, the whole thing was pretty long and demanding, and in the end, I got an email saying I didn't get the job with no explanation.
- How would you manage competing priorities?
SEM Specialist/Marketing Analyst
Reply's interview process was very quick and well organized. It took only 10 days from the first phone interview to getting an offer. Interview process started with a HR phone interview. Apart from basic hr questions, it also included SEM related basic questions. 2 days later i was called for a face to face interview. It started well on time and took 2 hours to finish. There were 4 different interviews from various team members. The very same evening i received 2 excel based test. It tested my sem knowledge and excel skills. After 2 days i received an online aptitude test. Overall the interview process was very fast. Also HR was very fast in responding to any query of mine.
- Tell me about your PPC/SEM knowledge.
- How is your analytical ability?
Search Marketing Manager
They do 1-2 phone screens first. Then, you'll have 3-4 in-person interviews all on the same day. The goal is to see if the team likes you and if you're good at online marketing. They hire and fire a lot, so they want to know if you have the basic skills and smarts, and importantly, if you're a hard worker and committed. They really focus on work ethic and will check your references. If they don't see you as a workaholic, they're probably not interested.
- Can you explain how Google calculates its quality score?
- When do you decide to stop spending money on keywords that aren't giving you any return or conversions?
SEM Specialist
The interview process was pretty extensive and made sure to cover all the necessary aspects for the SEM Specialist role, which is good because the job can get pretty complicated sometimes. The hiring managers were really nice and easy to talk to, and the HR team was fantastic.
- Can you tell me about a significant error you've made in your SEM or online marketing experience?
