The hiring process involved a few steps: first a cognitive and personality test, then a video interview, followed by a phone chat, and finally a quick Skype call. The recruiter was super nice and made it feel relaxed, but did mention how important the company culture, which they described as family-like, is.

Applied online through Indeed. Had a phone interview with a Director. Then, a substantial in-person interview with that Director and their HR Manager. Later, I delivered an extensive digital consultative presentation to at least ten BuyItInstalled folks, including their CEO/Founder. This presentation was regarding two fictional firms (one a massive e-commerce entity, the other a payments-fulfillment entity). They provided a short scenario for this review. The presentation lasted an hour, and the Q&A afterwards was also in-depth. The questions were great, and the people were smart, but it felt like a free consulting session disguised as an interview process. I've heard from colleagues and experienced similar fraudulent interview processes from other firms this year. My advice is, if you're asked to do a presentation like this, make sure your deck is distributed and reviewed beforehand, and get an attendee list with names, departments, and titles so you know your audience. Better yet, avoid these situations and volunteer for a non-profit instead.

The hiring process moved along quickly given the high volume of applicants. HR was very open with company details. The interview panel was nice and clear about what they were looking for. The second and third interviews were booked within a week, and an offer was extended the following week.
