This was one of the best interview experiences I’ve had. I was flown out for an in-person interview, and when unexpected travel delays occurred, the team handled everything with kindness and flexibility. Their timely support, accommodations and understanding truly reflected the company culture. The interviews felt thoughtful, conversational and engaging. Instead of focusing solely on technical skills, they were genuinely interested in how I communicate, grow, and contribute to the team. Everyone I met was passionate, welcoming, and made me feel valued. The panel interview session especially stood out — it gave me a clear understanding of the role and the team, and confirmed that this was a job and group I genuinely wanted to be a part of. Their energy and collaboration showed me how much they care about their work and each other. By the end of the process, I felt excited and confident that this was the right place for me — and I happily received and accepted the offer the very next day.

It started with an email from the recruiter asking me to answer some questions about the job. Then, I had a phone call with the manager. Following that, I was set up for a panel interview with about seven people. Butterball sent me an email with tips on how to get ready for the panel interview, which I think helped me land the job. They also sent me a detailed schedule before the panel interview, showing who I'd be meeting, which made me feel ready. Most of the questions during the panel interview were about my past experiences and how I handled situations. They communicated well throughout the whole thing, and my questions got answered quickly.

The interview itself went fine. After getting through the recruiter phase, I felt good about how things went. The interviewers were polite, asked relevant questions, and gave me a chance to explain my experience. All seemed well. The problem came afterward. I never heard back from them. Not even a “thanks, but no thanks” or any kind of update. I was left hanging for weeks, not knowing if I was rejected or if the process was still ongoing. It’s frustrating when companies don’t communicate after the interview, especially when you’ve put in the time and effort.

First I had a recruiter call, then a phone interview with the hiring manager. Things went well so they invited me for an in-person meeting right away. I rearranged my vacation plans to make it work. I spent half a day doing back-to-back interviews with key people. Weirdly, the bathrooms broke during the interviews so they had to cut it short. I was basically shown the door with just a handshake after traveling over 200 miles each way. After about a week, I asked for feedback and if I could get reimbursed for my travel expenses. They ignored me, and after I reached out again, I got the standard "more qualified candidates" email. I was surprised I didn't get more detailed feedback given the level of the role, but I guess that shows how they operate.
