I had an in-person interview at the theme park. The person I met with was very nice but obviously willing to hire me because I applied: it’s a menial job so I can’t imagine the standard is high.

Big company, lots of people, high turnover is a thing. Dept. heads probably want hiring to be faster. I think HR procedures slow things down. Took almost 2 months for the first call. Then two weeks for two interviews. Then nearly 2 more months for the offer. Orientation was 8 days later, took 2 hours. Started work the following week. Waited two weeks for the first paycheck. Basically, don't wait around and make sure you have savings.
