Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Busboys and Poets.

The interview process was fairly easy, but they didn't finish it because something was happening in the store. I had worked at a different location previously, so I was familiar with the company. They needed to reach out to HR to get approval since I worked at another location. I was told once that came through, I would be able to start. I followed up about 5 times and they never got back to me.
- What is your dream job?
Server
I found the job on Indeed and they reached out quickly for an interview. It was a one-on-one with the manager, covering standard behavioral and performance questions. I was hired right after and had to do a two-week offsite training. It was pretty straightforward.
- Can you tell me about your previous work performance?
- What were your responsibilities in your last job?
- How do you handle difficult situations at work?
Server
It was a really straightforward hiring process. They reached out within a couple of weeks, and then I had two interviews back-to-back with two different managers, which took about 30 minutes total. I got the job offer the very next day. The interview itself was quite simple and mostly covered standard restaurant-related questions.
- Can you share an instance where you had to manage stress in a work setting?
