There were two sessions, first with the technical team focusing on technical leadership, process approaches, and team fit. The team there was engaged and asked good questions. The second interview with the leadership team was about leadership style, behavior, and situational questions. The leadership team was also engaged, asked very good questions, and followed up with probing questions. There was a strong focus on cultural fit questions.

I applied online and then scheduled a phone interview. I did the phone interview and sent my thank you email. I haven't heard anything back yet. I don't want to make this a negative review, but I will mention my experience and leave it as is for you to draw your own conclusions. I wish I could at least get the common courtesy of a rejection email before I have to ask for an update on my application status. Things like basic good manners and proper hiring process etiquette should be handled by the head of hiring staff. Their performance has been measured and found wanting. I'm just putting it out there. Good manners and proper etiquette shouldn't be overlooked, even with a lot of applicants. Doing the right thing means taking the time to send each applicant an email saying they aren't considered for the position, instead of making them beg for a rejection letter. It seems heartless.

I went through four in-person interviews over a two-week span. I felt pretty good about how I did and my chances. They said they'd get back to me by the end of that week, but they didn't. I followed up the next week via email to see if I was still in the running, but never heard back. They totally ghosted me, which was super unprofessional.

Burkhart takes recruiting seriously. I went through a handful of phone interviews, an online assessment, a few face-to-face interviews, and a job shadow over the course of two months to get an offer. I'm very glad I held out! I have witnessed a similar process for other positions since I have been here.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • There wasn't a particular interview question that stood out to me, it was more of the whole process and the thoroughness.
