First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Burger 21.
Front of House
It was a group interview where they asked me basic questions about my previous work experience and what I could contribute to the team. They also asked why I was interested in working with the company and if I was looking to advance in my career. After the questions, they offered me the position on the spot, and I started right away.
- Do you have prior experience in food service?
- What unique skills or qualities do you possess that would benefit our team?
- What motivates your interest in joining our company?
Server
I sent in my application online and someone got back to me in just a few days to set up a phone screening. The recruiter asked me some basic stuff about when I can work, my previous restaurant experience, and why I was interested in Burger 21. After that, I went in for an in-person chat with the manager. It was pretty laid-back but still professional. They asked me some hypothetical questions, like how I'd manage during a really busy shift or give me some examples of working well with others on a team, and then we discussed the pay and hours. The whole thing wrapped up in about a week from when I applied to when they made me an offer. Honestly, it was a friendly, no-fuss, and quick process. I'd suggest having some stories ready about teamwork and helping customers.

Taker
The interview process was pretty straightforward. Asked questions about past jobs and availability. A lot of the questions were situational questions (difficult customer, how to build trust with coworkers, etc.). The interview was 1:1 and it took around 20 minutes. I was called a few days later with a job offer. Came in and filled out some paperwork and got the orientation schedule.
- Tell me about a time you had a task that was beyond your capabilities.
Mover
Got a call back the very next day and was hired on the spot because the location was just opening. I was supposed to be a cashier but they changed it last minute without asking me. It was super easy cause they really needed people.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
