I interviewed at bureau veritas on July 13 and 16, 2018. It was a bit difficult. After that, HR called me saying I was selected. She asked about my salary expectations. I said between 7.0-8.0 lpa. She said they could give me a max of 7.0 lpa and my first appraisal would be in 2020. I agreed. But it's been two months and I haven't got an offer letter. Every time I visited, they said it was awaiting approval. When I called, they didn't answer or call back. After many emails, I got a mail saying they informed me they didn't get approval for my hiring due to my high salary expectations being out of their budget. Is this professional? HR should be reachable and not lie. Since people invest time and effort, they deserve to know the result. HR needs to understand that others' time is also precious.
