Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bureau Veritas.
Manager
The time from when the agency first reached out to when I had my initial screening with the internal recruiter and then the first interview was really fast, which felt good. The interview itself was pretty standard, mostly questions about my background with a few situational ones thrown in. Overall, it was a good experience. However, the follow-up after the interview has been really bad, to be honest. No one communicated anything or gave any feedback, even though I tried to reach out a few times.
- Can you tell me about your background and experience?
- What are some of your key skills and areas for development?
- Can you share an example of a time you had to manage a challenging relationship?
Lab Manager
I had a phone call and then an online interview with the lab directors. It was about 2 hours long and there were 3 people interviewing me. They seemed friendly. I heard back about the position in two weeks. The salary offered wasn't the highest I've seen on the market.
- Could you share an example of how you've resolved internal conflicts in the past?
Manager
Interview and hiring process was smooth and managed well. Initially, I had an interview with one senior manager, and then another more senior manager joined. The interview lasted about 1.5 hours and included very specific questions about my background, skills, and experience in managing P&Ls. I received a phone call the same day offering me the position. My contract arrived within 2 days, and an induction plan was sent within a week.
- Can you tell me about your previous experience managing P&Ls?
