First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bunge North America.
Intern
Bunge had a standard behavioral interview session. I was asked questions relating credentials and experiences outlined on my resume to a potential internship position. They also took the time to explain the role, work environment, and responsibilities.
- What's a tool you've used before that helped you get something done?
Lab Technician
The manager did most of the talking during the interview, and I had to wait for my opportunity to interject. It was generally easy, with only a few questions that felt like a typical interview. Overall, it was very straightforward.
- Could you describe your strengths?
- Could you describe your weaknesses?
Merchandiser Intern
I had one interview on campus at the university. It was pretty straightforward. I was in a good spot at the time and it felt like a good match. The person interviewing me seemed mostly concerned with things like logistics and housing for a summer intern.
- Tell me about your logistics plans.
- What are your ambitions?
- Where will you be staying?
Operations Engineer
I had a phone call with the recruiter, she was in Chesterfield MO. At the end of the call, she stated she would get back to me next week. She never did, and didn't reply to my follow up emails. For a company that states Integrity is a core value, it was disappointing to be lied to and not be respected. My advice is recruiters should know they are the face of the company and must uphold the core values. Especially for a company that makes money from the product they sell. Building good relationships with people is paramount to the success of the organization.
- What is your motivation for working in Food Processing?
