The recruitment process was extremely frustrating. It started with a 20-minute HR call, followed by a task and an interview with the hiring manager. Scheduling was a nightmare, with the recruiter often unresponsive and requesting times that required constant rescheduling. After this, I was supposed to have four 30-minute interviews, but again, scheduling was difficult. The recruiter sent the wrong link for one of the calls, causing me to miss it. Four weeks later, after more ignored follow-ups, I was asked to schedule two more interviews. This repeated the same pattern of delayed responses and needing to contact the hiring manager directly for updates. I was told the final interview was happening that evening and then I'd be informed. The whole process took over two months, and ultimately I wasn't the right fit, but the lack of respect for my time was a major concern.

Super easy, just reached out via Instagram and chatted on the phone. I knew a girl who worked at the company and she actually messaged me seeing if I would be interested. At that point, we were connected via email to the manager and through that we talked more about the position and had a phone interview to get the job. Overall was a pretty easy interview process especially if you have a connection. The easiest way to get an interview here is literally to message someone who works for Bumble on Instagram.

Over the past two years, I've been contacted by three different recruiters from Bumble's US or London offices, and honestly, all interactions were pretty unprofessional. The first recruiter emailed me for an exploratory chat and asked for my availability. Instead of confirming times, they just sent an 8 AM Singapore Time invite at midnight, without checking if I was even free. I tried emailing to reschedule, but got no reply. A few months later, a different recruiter reached out for another role. We set up an interview, but she showed up 15 minutes late, and her connection was terrible. She mentioned they liked my profile but lacked knowledge about Singapore's legal/business operations and promised to follow up on next steps, which never happened. Just yesterday, another recruiter interviewed me. We talked for a while, and then she revealed they couldn't offer visa sponsorship, even though I'm already in Singapore on an employment pass. You'd think that visa sponsorship question would be an early one to save everyone time.
