The interview process was alright, but I think I lacked the specific experience they were looking for. It felt like they were in a hurry and really wanted someone with app experience. After that, they went quiet for over two months before finally letting me know I didn't get the job.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process was pretty standard. A few days after I applied, I got instructions for a writing sample. Then, I had an interview that was about 30 minutes. They explained the job more and I answered some behavioral questions. They said I'd hear back right away because they needed to fill the spot fast. When I heard back, they told me I didn't get the fall internship, but that I was perfect for the role. My interviewer said that if I still wanted the internship for the spring, it was mine. She told me to contact her in November, and she'd also reach out to me then. She also offered to get coffee anytime to stay in touch. We then matched on Bumble Bizz, and I followed up on the coffee offer. I didn't get a response there, so I went back to the email thread and asked again about coffee. Still no response. When November came, I emailed to say I was still interested in the spring position and asked how to proceed. No response again. A few weeks later, I sent another email saying I had applied online and still didn't hear back. I eventually got an automated rejection email about a month later. For a company that's all about anti-ghosting, this was a really frustrating experience. I spent time and effort trying to follow up about a job I was told would be mine, only to be ghosted. I still haven't heard back from my interviewer at all. It was very unprofessional. I would have liked a response, even just to say they went with someone else. That way, I could have focused on other companies. At this point, I don't even want to work there. This made me feel like their values are just for show and not real.
