I had two interviews: one over Zoom and then an in-person panel with the department head, the COO, and the recruiter. The team seemed great and they got back to me quickly. However, the post-interview experience was really disappointing. The recruiter never followed up, not even when I tried to check on the status. I only found out I didn't get the job when I saw online that someone else had been hired.

I had 2 phone calls with the recruiter, then an in person interview, and finally a virtual interview with the department COO. The recruiter did call me back to tell me everyone liked me but they were waiting to hire due to headcount or something and that I would hear from them when they are able to hire another person.

So one of the owners talked with me for like 20 mins, really just wanting to get to know me. Then, they asked me about what drives me and how I think about success or failure. After that, we chatted about the job for a bit, and they seemed really focused on making sure I'd be a good fit with the team and the company culture.
