Server
Waited at a booth inside before the interview, which was conducted in the same booth. Was offered water. Spoke with the manager about the job, benefits, onboarding expectations, and schedule availability.
- Could you tell me about your availability?
- Do you have prior experience in serving?
Server/Bartender
The work environment is easygoing and fun, but it's also fast-paced. Your earnings are directly related to your performance. There are also chances to advance within the company. Being friendly and contributing to positive teamwork is important.
- Do you have previous experience as a server?
Hostess
It was a super quick and easy interview process, I was in and out in about 10 minutes and they hired me on the spot. I felt it was a good fit for me. The interview was pretty relaxed, I just had to smile and stay calm.
- What's your approach to handling challenging customers?
General Manager
First, I had a webcam interview with a recruiter from BWR, who was really good at his job and set me up with a corporate interview. They had me drive an hour and a half to meet with the company's director of training. She was nice and the interview was pretty easygoing. She mostly asked about my background and didn't ask too many tough questions. Somehow, she got the impression I wouldn't be a long-term employee, so they decided not to move forward with me. It's funny because I was actually looking for a role where I could be employed long-term. I was also told I hadn't done enough research on the company. Honestly, I was surprised they're still in business given what I know. It wasn't a great experience, mostly because I spent a day off driving for three hours to interview with a company that seemed to have already made up their mind before I even got there.
- Can you describe your past work experience?
- What motivates your job search?
- What are your long-term career aspirations?
