First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Buffalo Biodiesel.
Outside Sales Representative
A person from the call center called to schedule an appointment and mentioned they are hiring for multiple positions. It's a bit of a red flag when they tell you it's that type of environment and they are hiring for multiple roles, which makes it seem like they have trouble keeping employees.
- Does spending all day driving present any problems for you?
Administrative Assistant
Showed up for the interview dressed well. A woman in casual clothes had me go to a bathroom for a urine drug test, which I suspected might be illegal as it wasn't at a proper facility. After that, I completed two aptitude tests. Later, I met with the owner, who was dressed casually. There were six roles available, and it seemed like many people applied. I didn't get an offer, and it seems like no one did, as the job posting is back online. I'm glad I didn't get the job, given the reviews about the owner's behavior.
- Can you tell me about yourself and your relevant experience?
Assistant Manager
So I had an interview scheduled for 10am, but when I got there, they had me fill out like a 5 page paper and give them my SSN and driver's license info before anything else. Then around 1030, a woman came and took me to the bathroom for a drug test. I questioned why I was doing this before an offer, but she said it was part of the process. After that, I went back to the waiting room. About 15 minutes later, I was directed to a computer for a 30-minute test. While waiting, I overheard another candidate who'd been there 3 hours and had to sign something saying they could fire him for anything, and that's when I decided to leave. The whole process felt like a bait-and-switch with no communication about what to expect.

SEO Specialist
The interview process was pretty straightforward. I scheduled a time to come in with the recruitment office. On the day of my interview, I went to the office where I was greeted by the recruitment team. I filled out a generic application and was also asked to complete some other company-specific material. Once the interviewer was ready, I spoke with them about my experience and the job itself. They offered me time to ask questions about the job and the company, all of which were answered satisfactorily.
