First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Buddy’s Newco LLC.
Customer Service Representative
I sent in my application online. A couple days later, I got a call asking me to come in for an interview. I met with the store manager, and they asked me a lot of basic questions. They told me I had to interview with another manager at a different store. Once that interview was done, I went to the other store and met with the manager there, who asked me the same questions. We talked about salary, hours, benefits, and so on. They also mentioned they needed to do a background check and a drug test.
- What are your weaknesses that might make us not want to hire you?
Collection Manager
We first communicated via email and then set up an interview appointment. I met with the store manager for about 1.5 hours. The interview was mainly about my general thoughts and ideas. They explained the job duties and then offered me the position. My advice is to just be yourself. A big surprise was that we weren't told the actual time involved in repossessing furniture. The store closed at 7:00 pm, but we often finished closer to 10 pm. While overtime was paid, it became tiresome. You should expect to work 50-60 hours per week, with no Saturdays off.
- Are you okay with working 50 hours weekly?
Sales Manager
When I got there, they handed me a clipboard with some questions to write down answers for. Then, we had a one-on-one chat which was pretty relaxed. They asked me some questions about what I'd do in certain situations and we went over my resume together. After that, I had to fill out the paper application.
- Would you be okay with calling customers who haven't made their payments?
Vice President
The interview process was very professional and straightforward. It's advisable to be ready to discuss both the company and the industry. The company seeks career-oriented, self-motivated individuals, and if that sounds like you, Buddy's would be a great place to work.
- What makes you the right candidate for this position?
