I applied through my school's career website. Shortly after, I got an email to set up a phone screening. The phone screening involved a general chat about the company, my goals, and any questions I had. During that call, they scheduled my first in-person meeting at their Midtown office. The first face-to-face interview was with a managing partner. It was a pretty laid-back chat where they explained the role, which is basically sales for a Business Account Consultant, and what a typical day looks like. We also touched on my background and they asked some basic behavioral questions about managing clients and persuading people. At the end, they set up the next step: a full day shadow with a salesperson, from 9 AM to 5:30 PM. We scheduled it, but I ended up accepting another offer, so I didn't go.

It started with a quick phone chat to see what you're looking for. If it seemed like a match, the next step was to meet the hiring manager for more details about the job. Then, if they thought you'd fit, they offered a 'day in the life' experience. I spent a day with a Managing Partner, met her clients, and honestly, it was a really good day. It felt relaxed but still professional, and she made me feel comfortable. It was actually pretty fun! The last part was a wrap-up of the day and a chance for feedback. I liked everyone I met, and with my communications and marketing background, I figured I'd do well in this career. So, I took the offer and it's been going great!

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I got contacted by the company after applying online. I had my first interview where I met with a managing partner. They talked about the company, the clients, and the management training program. I asked questions and learned about the company and its culture. The next day, I was invited for a second interview. This was a full day job shadow where I experienced a typical day working with BBC, Inc. I saw what my role would be if hired. The business account manager I shadowed answered my questions about the day-to-day tasks, company advancement, training, and program learnings. After the second interview, I met with the hiring manager again. She asked me questions about the day and said she'd get feedback from my interviewer and let me know the decision the next day.

Behavioral Other

The interview process was pretty simple. Since I'm out of state, I did a phone interview which lasted about ten minutes. They asked standard questions and after I asked a few questions about my duties, they invited me for a "shadow day." I turned down the second interview because I live out of state and didn't get a good feel for the business. I didn't think the job was a good fit for me and I didn't think the company was being transparent.
