An Executive Producer reached out to me about applying for an open position. The application took a few weeks to go live. After I applied, the EP contacted me again for an hour-long phone call. About two weeks later, I was told the EP was let go and that a new person would reach out for an interview within a couple of weeks. My next phone interview was about 15-20 minutes. I followed up with emails but didn't hear back. I got a generic rejection email about three and a half months later. I asked my interviewer for specific feedback but still haven't received any.

I had a phone call first, where we talked about the job details and some basic computer and networking questions. If I passed that, I got to take a test. The test had easy math problems like adding, subtracting, multiplying, and prorating bills, plus grammar, technical questions, and a written part. A calculator was given for the test. After the test, I got an interview. In the interview, they went over the job description, asked me what I look for in a company and about my past experience, and some personality questions. A few days after the interview, I got a job offer.

Behavioral Case Presentation

The whole process was bizarre and by the time I got an offer my would be manager and the HR person I dealt with had already left the company. The Business Class department isn't fully baked yet. They aren't even sure if they will keep the division yet. When I was presented with an offer, it was well below industry standard for my experience level and borderline insulting.

So, there were two people interviewing me at the same time. They asked some really good, but tough questions, like about how I handled a specific situation at work and what I did to fix it. They also asked questions that really made me think, but I think it's a good way to make sure they're hiring good people for the team. The next part of the interview is a test you have to pass with a certain score to move on.
