Went in person to the office downtown for an interview with 2 people, one was my potential manager and the other was from an adjacent team. I wore a suit. They asked me common questions about my current job and experience, and what I think is important for a team.

The interview process was longer than I expected and had multiple rounds. I think this was because the partners were really busy. I only met with one associate, which was different from all the other interviews I've done.

I went through several interviews with other partners. It was an exploration of my practice and portable business, and also checking for cultural fit. We talked about partnership expectations, managerial requirements, compensation structure, and benefits.

It was a 3 step process, and the hiring manager was in all the interviews. The first interview was more like a screener call with the hiring manager where we had a nice conversation and they mostly just listened about what the job was all about. The second interview was the more 'structured' one, a formal 1hr interview with 4-5 questions, and I got to ask questions at the end. The final round was more about team fit. Overall, it wasn't too hard and the questions were fairly straightforward.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Questions about team building and working style.
