The interview process involved several stages: a recruiter call, followed by a consultant interview focusing on behavioral aspects. Then, another consultant interview tested technical skills, where I had to analyze a separate company. The final stage was an extensive simulation lasting over four hours. I received financial information about a fictional company a few days prior to prepare. For this final part, it was important to be able to thoroughly go through financial statements, explain what BTS does, and propose improvements. Unfortunately, I didn't pass the final round due to technical difficulties and some errors in my financial analysis.

The interview process kicked off with a recruiter phone screen. If that went well, the recruiter would give a heads-up on what to expect next. The second round was a bit of a curveball compared to what others described. It was an hour-long video call with two directors. For the first 30 minutes, they hit me with variations of the usual questions: weaknesses, strengths, why BTS, why this role, and what excites me about it. The latter half involved a case study where I picked a company they'd recognize, like a major public company, and did a SWOT analysis. They were interested in factors executives could influence, such as customer behavior and technology, rather than just broad economic trends. While a recruiter might mention economic factors or revenue, I found the focus was more specific. Don't count on a callback unless you make it to the next stage.

The interview process was nice and conversational, which helped me relax and get my experience and knowledge across. There were two virtual 45-minute sessions: the first with two consultants, and the second with the Head of and SVP. Unfortunately, I had to decline the offer because they wouldn't budge on the 3 days in the office requirement. The recruiter had mentioned 2 days, but I found out at the end that it was actually 3 days and they were inflexible on that, nor would they increase the salary, so I had to decline.
