& Process

They emailed me saying they were interested. They sent me a quiz pertaining to my personal characteristics which would not be held against me, supposedly. Never heard back from them

So I interviewed at Bryant University three times in 10 months and each time it was a mess, super disorganized and frustrating. The last one for the Associate Director of Alumni and Parent Engagement was the worst. It was like a six-hour marathon with no breaks, no water, nothing. They just threw me into back-to-back meetings and everyone asked the same darn questions, like they didn't even talk to each other. And get this, they made me interview during lunch! Super awkward. Then, I got left alone in a conference room and totally forgotten. I had to go find the person who was supposed to get me, and she was just chilling on her phone, like, "Oh, I forgot about you." A lot of the people I met had only been there like 3 months to a year, which made me wonder about the culture and stability. They said I'd hear back by a certain date, but crickets. I sent three follow-up emails over three weeks and finally got a generic "We went with other candidates," saying they wanted someone with 10 years experience, which was on my resume anyway. It felt like a slap in the face after all that time. The whole thing across all my interviews was just a pattern of no communication, disorganization, missed deadlines, and zero respect for my time. They seemed to have no clue what they wanted and just dragged me through a long process with no follow-through. I'd really think twice about interviewing there.

First, there was a 60-minute Zoom call with the Provost and VP of Strategy. About two weeks after that, I was invited on-campus for a 5-hour in-person interview session with 4 finalists. This included interviews with the provost, 2 professors, 3 student leaders, the vp of strategy, the vp of advancement, and the president.

The application process was straightforward. First, you submit an application. If selected, you'll get a call for an interview. In-person interviews are the standard, with phone interviews only used if you can't make it to the office. During the interview, you'll be asked questions related to your resume, experience, availability, and how you'd manage various office situations.
