First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bryan Research & Engineering.
Consulting Engineer
I applied through my university and it was pretty similar to what others have posted: first was a phone call, second a skype interview, and then a third round where I visited their site. The questions themselves were pretty basic, but the company culture felt off. They didn't cover my travel expenses even though I came from out of state. After the third round, they said I'd hear back by the end of the week. About four weeks later, I had to email someone to find out what was happening. Turns out they forgot to let me know they weren't moving forward with an offer. Definitely not a great experience. The office is mostly older A&M alumni, and while they're trying to expand and hire new grads from various schools, it's still heavily dominated by A&M grads.
- At the end of the day on the site visit, could you try to "sell" us on a product?
Consulting Engineer
I was interviewed for the expanding Singapore office. The interviewer was friendly and we had a good conversation, but it wasn't very technical.
- What motivates you to join our company?
Consulting Engineer
Went to a campus career fair and talked to recruiters, then had a short phone interview the next week. After that, I got invited for an on-site interview. The on-site included a 15-minute presentation about my grad school research, then an hour with technical and behavioral questions, and finally another hour just chatting about the company. They asked several questions to see if I'd fit the company culture and if I'd be loyal long-term. It seems like you won't get an offer unless you show strong conservative values and say you want to live in a small town.
- How liberal is your family, on a scale from 1 to 10?
