First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BRUNNER.
Intern
I applied online, then got a call a few weeks later to set up an interview. I interviewed at their Downtown location with two people. They didn't really ask many questions about me, so I felt like I didn't have much opportunity to really market myself. A lot of the interview was spent discussing the job duties and how well I could carry them out. Make sure you ask lots of questions yourself, whether about the job or the company!
- Can you tell me a little about yourself?
- What do you hope to get out of this internship?
- What's your motivation for wanting to work here?
Account Manager
Went through four interviews back-to-back. They were mostly behavioral and general interest type questions. Some felt more like chats, but one was a really fast-paced questioning session. Everyone in the office was super nice and friendly, but it was hard to get updates from HR about my application. I was left waiting alone in a conference room for a long time, not knowing what was supposed to happen next.
- No tough questions were asked.
Social Media Community Manager
First there was a phone interview, which was pretty basic. Then I had an in-person interview. The in-person one was more fun and interesting. They asked me specific questions about managing social media, metrics, and statistics. There were also a lot of questions that were client-specific, which is hard to answer without knowing the clients.
- Can you explain how to calculate mean, median, and mode?
- Describe a situation where you reported on the analytics of a social media account.
- Tell me about a time you made an error.
Agency Coordinator
There were a couple of rounds of interviews with multiple people. It was a pretty easy interview for this entry level role. First, a phone interview, then an in person interview. The interviewers were alright, but the company wasn't great once I accepted.
- Tell us about yourself in detail.
