Associate Product Manager
The hiring process was really clear and went smoothly. I was told upfront there would be three main parts: First, a case study to do on my own, then a product discussion, and finally an HR chat. For the case study, it involved a real problem BrowserStack Live faces. They gave me 10 days to work on it. After I finished, I presented my solution to two Product Directors. That seemed to go well, and the next day the recruiter let me know I had positive feedback and would skip to the HR part. The HR round was just a standard chat. Right after that, they told me they were ready to make an offer.
- How would you improve the adoption of a feature in BrowserStack Live?
- What is your motivation for wanting to work at BrowserStack?
Product Manager
It was a two-round process. The first round was an intro to my experience and the products I'd worked on, and they asked about my favorite developer tool. The second round was a big case study on a Browserstack feature focused on increasing adoption. It took a lot of effort, but the presentation was short (30 mins) with no clarifying questions. They told me the next day I didn't qualify, and I didn't get good feedback. I also asked about company culture but didn't get a good answer. I'd avoid interviewing here, even for practice.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Can you tell us about your experience?
- Which developer-centric product is your favorite?
Product Manager
The interview process involved a Product round, a functional round, and a case study where I had to create a PRD to save the existing PM's time. There was also a round with the CTO where they asked a lot of personal questions I hadn't encountered before.
- Can you describe how you would build a new feature that addresses a specific issue within Browserstack?
- What are your proposed solutions for the existing user experience issues that our clients are facing with Browserstack?
- Could you tell me about your hobbies?
