Enterprise Account Executive
The interview process involved a recruiter screen, followed by a Zoom call with the new ENT Sales Manager. Then there was a Zoom call with the outgoing ENT Sales VP, and another with the VP Global Sales. After that, a case study panel interview took place, and finally, a Zoom call with an HR rep. I made it through the final interview round (HR call). The whole process took 2.5 months, with a few reschedules because the coordinator and recruiter weren't aware of the Sales Managers' schedules. One interview at 9pm my time was rescheduled 50 minutes before it was supposed to start. That rescheduled call went over the allotted time, and I was asked to pitch the VP of Global Sales as an Apple sales rep, but he was a Dir of IT at United Airlines, which I wasn't informed about beforehand. The recruiter wasn't very helpful in preparing me for each stage. I received no feedback on why I was turned down for the position.
- Can you share an instance where you lost a deal and the lessons you took away from it?
Business Development Executive
After I cleared the aptitude test, round 1 was rough. The interviewer didn't listen or give me a fair chance. I think they were in a rush with all the candidates. I was a good fit but didn't get a chance. When the interview started, I couldn't hear the other person clearly, which might have disturbed things. I think they should give every candidate a fair shot, as candidates put in a lot of effort. Letting a good candidate go is a loss for the company.
- What is the daily volume of phone calls you can make?
Account Executive
There were 3 functional rounds and 1 HR round. It was moderately difficult. They're pretty objective and look for specific skills matching their sales method. You don't need prior experience in their exact sales background, but giving objective answers with examples is key. The assignment round is the hardest, where you get two real sales situations and need to outline a strategy to win and close the deal. My recommendation is to be specific again and cover the main sales stages and how you'd handle them. Don't waffle.
- Could you describe how you close a deal at your current company, using an example?
- What were your sales targets and what was your achievement rate?
- Do you handle prospecting for your own deals? If so, what's your approach?
