First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck.
Associate
It's the standard stuff like asking why you want to work at the firm and what practice area interests you. They'll also ask about your previous experience and examples. Mostly, it's you asking questions. If you can nail those, you should be good.
- Why are you interested in working here?
- Which practice area sparks your interest?
- Can you share some examples from your past experiences?
Intern
The interview process was pretty straightforward and fast. I got contacted about 1-2 weeks after applying online. They were very responsive, and the interviewer was super nice. I was asked some basic behavior questions.
- Can you tell me how you would handle working in a bipartisan environment?
- Please introduce yourself.
- Could you discuss your resume?
Director
This was the most awkward interview I've ever experienced. They'd ask me questions and then answer them themselves. They also seem to ignore your salary expectations, even if you give them during the HR screen or online, and will pretend they're okay with it, only to use it later as a reason not to give you an offer.
- What time do you usually start your day at work?
Receptionist
I applied online and had a brief introduction with a very nice interviewer. The whole process lasted about 30 minutes. You do need to prepare and research the company! These were very basic interview questions. Good luck guys!
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What makes you want to work for us?
- What makes you the right candidate?
