Associate Director
The interview process was great, with timely feedback and communication. The panel was very pleasant, and the process was quick, with both phone and panel interviews scheduled rapidly.
- Could you tell me why you are interested in this position?
- What do you consider to be your strengths?
- What do you consider to be your weaknesses?
Associate
Applied online and sent it straight to the supervisor. They set up a phone screen pretty fast, about 10 days out. After the initial phone screen, I got a reply back to my thank you note, but then no more info (since I ended up being a no-go). I didn't hear anything for sure until I followed up a second time after the thank you.
- Tell me about the kind of manager you work best with, keeping in mind I'd be your direct boss and you should pick up on any hints I've given about what I like during our chat.
Associate Director
Applied in April and they restarted the process only to pause again due to funding instability. There was a reasonable amount of questions and they provided the topics ahead of time (but only focused on a few). Biggest gripe is the deadpan faces when talking was very off putting. Add a zoom setting and it’s was unwelcoming. It didn’t feel like an interview but more of being sized up. When one is sharing about themselves and there’s no audience interaction, it makes the interview that much harder only to be followed up with radio silence. Left a stale taste in my mouth and I consider it an unfortunate experience for an elite institution. Disappointing.
- How would you describe your leadership style?
