First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Brown Paper Tickets.
Database Developer
The HR person was kind of unprofessional and too casual with communication. I went through 2 phone interviews and 2 onsite interviews. All interviewers except for the last onsite one seemed unprepared for the interviews.
- What are your thoughts on distributed database systems?
Client Services Representative
I got an email about two weeks after applying. I went to HQ for one interview. It was pretty casual and the questions weren't super in-depth about skills, more about if we'd vibe. The main part was the bilingual test, both written and spoken.
- Do you own a dog?
Event Promotions Coordinator
I applied online and then got a call for an interview. I had an interview with my manager at the time plus the HR representative at the time. I did not get the job initially but was then called a couple weeks later and told that they had a position for me.
- Tell me about your experience producing shows.
Customer Service Representative
I applied online, and then after two weeks I had my interview. It was a panel interview with three people from the customer service department and it lasted for an hour. At the end of the interview, I was given a grammar and spelling test.
- How do you handle challenging customer interactions?
