First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Broward Health.
Registered Nurse
The interview process was pretty straightforward. I waited to speak with the nurse manager, though sometimes it might be two people. They asked some simple questions, and then followed up with two scenario-based questions about MI and STROKE. We also discussed what the residency program entails.
- Could you tell me about yourself?
- What do you consider your strengths and weaknesses?
- Can you tell me about your leadership skills?
Patient Care Assistant
The interview was fair. They asked questions about my previous employer, what I would do in a dilemma scenario, why I chose this profession, my weaknesses, and my strengths. I also got a tour of the floor.
- Can you describe your experience with your previous employer?
- How would you handle a difficult situation?
- What motivated you to pursue this career path?
Project Manager
The interview process started with a recruiter call. Then there was an interview with the hiring manager, which seemed to go well. The next stage was a panel interview, but it felt like one person had already made up their mind before I even started talking. It was a different experience than what I'm used to or what I've done as an interviewer myself. One thing that was really noticeable was that they didn't really try to sell the organization or the team to me. I guess some people forget that a significant part of the interview is about selling the company to the person interviewing.
- What is your reason for leaving your present job?
- Can you describe a challenging project you worked on and explain the reasons behind its difficulty?
Medical Records Clerk
It was an okay interview experience. They asked standard interview questions. It seemed like management wasn't sure how to conduct interviews properly, like they were just making it up as they went along. The interviewer wasn't dressed professionally and didn't seem very knowledgeable about the job they were hiring for.
- What are some basic questions relevant to this job?
- Can you elaborate on your experience with medical records?
