Applied online and initially spoke with a recruiter who seemed great, but later on didn't know all the process steps after the hiring manager. Spoke with the hiring manager, who was also nice and professional but unsure of the full process, thinking a Data Engineer interview with SQL questions might be next. The last two rounds were panel interviews with a director and a manager, then another manager and HR. I emailed the recruiter for details but got no response. I prepared for SQL and behavioral questions based on limited info. No SQL was asked. During a panel, I was asked to explain gradient descent to a non-technical audience, which I wasn't ready for, expecting less technical DS questions given the interviewers' roles and lack of info. Other questions were mostly behavioral or experience-based. The HR person seemed to just read from a list, asking the same interest question three times in total. After two weeks of silence, I got an email saying other candidates were a better fit, despite interviews still being ongoing. Hope the process is more organized for others.

The interview process was really well thought out. It included HR and people from various roles and perspectives. They really wanted to make sure I'd be a good fit for the team and the company, both culturally and technically. HR did a great job coordinating and communicating, they were super available and open, and they really wanted both the company and me to succeed.

So I applied online back in October and heard back from Brad pretty quickly. Our initial phone interview went great. He told me a lot about the company and shared some of his experiences, which I really liked. He said he'd move me to the next interviews, but then, crickets. I tried to follow up, but nothing. Then, like, five months later, out of nowhere, I got a text from Brother asking to interview again. I had a phone interview with Casey, and it was intense. He seemed annoyed and even made a joke about ghosting people, which was weird and totally unexpected, especially after being ignored for months. His whole vibe was unprofessional and made me super hesitant. Big red flags all around.

Applied online through a job board. A recruiter emailed within a couple days asking for a one-way video interview. I did that and followed up a few days later but heard nothing. I tried following up two more times over the next two weeks and still no reply from the recruiter. The job was removed from their site and I never got a rejection email. It was really bad, they wasted my time and gave me a poor candidate experience by just leaving me hanging. It's inexcusable.
