The hiring process was quick and took place at Lenox Sq mall. Both the Regional Director and Managers conducted the interviews. Standard questions were asked. It was a two-round process, followed by a background check and a personality quiz for the final selection. The entire procedure was convincing enough that I was hired on the spot at the mall and was given a choice of workstation location. However, after being hired, the process became cumbersome, tedious, and distant, lacking the enthusiasm needed to continue providing quality customer service to the public.

I talked with the main manager and the assistant manager. We sat in a seating area just outside the store. They asked me a lot about myself, like what I enjoy doing, my major, and how comfortable I am with gadgets. They also asked why I think Brookstone would be a good fit for me. They actually preferred if I didn't have much experience because they said it's easier to 'mold' and teach someone that way. Overall, it was a pretty great first experience and way easier than some interviews I've heard about.

I talked with the Store Manager first, and they asked me about my past experience. Then, they had me go around the store and pick out an item I could sell, and I had to try and get them to buy it. It seemed to go well because they said I'd made enough of a good impression for a second interview with another manager. After that second chat, they mentioned the GM would be in touch about when the next steps would happen.
