First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Brookshire Grocery.
Data Integrity Specialist
It was pretty straightforward. The supervisor I'd be reporting to asked about 8 general interview questions. After a few weeks, I got a response. I was then invited for a second interview for a different role. This time, there were two interviewers: a different supervisor and the manager. They explained the position and asked the same questions from the first interview. A few days later, I received an offer.
- Tell me about how you manage stress.

I was not given much information about what to expect during the interview process. They also didn't seem to respect my time, and there was absolutely no communication between any potential interviews. If you try to call in to follow up on your application, you'll probably just have to deal with the 'telephone game' because you can't reach the hiring managers directly.
- They called and asked if I was Jeff, but I'm not. They also asked when my second interview was scheduled, when I was actually waiting to be scheduled for an interview in the first place.
- They asked me when my 2nd interview was scheduled, but I was waiting to be scheduled for an interview, not to be asked when it was.
Produce Associate
I sent in my application for a new store opening and it took about 3 weeks to hear back because they had a ton of people apply. Once they scheduled me for an interview, it was quick and was all about my background and knowledge in produce. They clearly read my application well, and since they saw I was good with people, I got the job and have really enjoyed working there for the past year and a half.
- Tell me about your experience working with produce.
Maintenance Technician
It was a really chill, informative, and welcoming interview. They got right to it and answered all the questions I had about the company. Overall, I was happy with the interviewer; we even had some shared interests, which was a bonus. It's a small-town business with big aspirations, and they really value their employees, even calling them partners.
