Registered Nurse
I applied online and then a recruiter emailed me the next day to set up a phone screen. We did the phone screen and then they set up an in-person interview with the clinic manager for the following week. The interview had lots of scenario-based questions, questions about my past experience, and why I wanted to work there.
- What motivates you to seek employment with our organization?
- Can you describe your experience at [specific job/company]?
Project Manager
This interview experience was quite disappointing. I was referred to the role by a personal contact and was expecting a more supportive interaction. Instead, the interview focused on situational questions related to corporate issues. Following the interview, I received no response to my thank-you email or my follow-up two weeks later inquiring about the status or if any additional information was needed. I only found out I wasn't selected when I logged in five weeks after the interview to withdraw my application and saw the status updated to "not retained." The lack of communication from both HR and the hiring manager (Director) was disheartening, as no emails were ever returned, not even a standard rejection notification.
- What would you do in response to extremely general situational questions about interactions with stakeholders?

Front Desk Coordinator
I put in my application through the Brooks Portal on Wednesday morning. About an hour later, the recruiter called me, asking about my current job, my history, and details about the position. She mentioned she'd pass the info to the hiring manager and would be in touch about a second interview. Before the day was over, I got an email from her to set up my first interview with the manager. This interview was on Zoom and lasted about 15-20 minutes. Afterward, he asked me to come to the clinic to meet him and shadow the team. During the Zoom interview, he asked some standard questions and also about my background and resume. The following Monday, I went to the clinic for my second interview. He told me before I left that I should hear back by the end of the week.
- Tell me about a time you went above and beyond for a patient.
- How do you handle conflict in the workplace?
- Describe a situation where you had a conflict with a coworker.
Admissions Representative
Application to interview was super quick, just a few days. I expected a 1:1 interview, but it was in a tiny, cramped office with three other people. The door was blocked and I was stuck in a corner, which felt unsafe and unprofessional, especially with hospital staff. They hadn't even seen my resume beforehand, so I had to over-explain my experience and education. Thankfully, I had extra copies. I felt like I was interrupting them. They asked generic 'tell me about a time' questions that didn't seem relevant to the actual job. They strongly suggested I'd get a callback. The meeting was only 20 minutes. Afterwards, there was a weird 30-second chat where I tried to make small talk, but it felt like they lacked communication skills. The whole thing was just odd and uncomfortable. They said I'd hear back in about a week, but I never did. Honestly, it was unprofessional and dismissive from start to finish. Not a welcoming experience at all, especially from a place like Brooks.
- Can you share an instance where you had to resolve a conflict?
