It was a very simple and easy process. The employers were friendly and seemed to be looking for friendly employees. They indicated that if you consistently show up with a positive attitude and a readiness to assist, you'll be well-suited for this role.

I spoke with HR and the direct supervisor over Skype. They mentioned that normally they do a phone screen first, but they skipped it because they needed to hire fast. The hiring manager didn't seem to have a good grasp on the role's details or responsibilities. The HR rep was great, though, very helpful and communicative.

The interview was pretty easy. They asked basic questions, and I don't recall any specific questions about the company except 'Why did you choose us?' When I was interviewed, they had a group of about 30 potential hires, and they interviewed us one by one. They asked a lot of situational questions like, 'Tell me about a time you faced a challenge and how you dealt with it.' They asked why I wanted to join the team, and I mentioned the company's location and its good reputation. They also asked questions common in the workplace about how you'd handle issues, such as 'If you were unsure how to operate a piece of equipment, what would you do?' It really focused on whether you'd handle things yourself or ask a coworker/manager for help. It's a food service role, so most people applying were likely seeking a minimum wage job. If you're interviewing, they're just looking for new staff, so be ready by looking up common interview questions and just be yourself.

Got a call about two weeks after the application deadline and was asked to schedule an interview within a two week period. I chose an in-person interview over a Skype interview since I was out-of-state at college. It lasted about an hour, with about 20 minutes spent on details about the job duties. It was a really nice interview. I got an offer email two weeks later.
