Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Brookdale Senior Living.
Maintenance Technician
The interview process is pretty relaxed. They ask a lot about what you know how to do and how you'd react in certain hypothetical situations. The people are really nice and everything is well organized.
- What are your strongest repair skills?
- How would you handle a specific situation if it arose?
- What are your areas of expertise?
Maintenance Technician
They asked a lot of questions about what I could do for them, like when I've gone above and beyond in the past or what I'd do in certain situations. It felt like they were focused on what I could offer the company, which made me wonder when the employer ever goes the extra mile.
- Tell me about yourself.
Maintenance Technician
The interview process was very friendly and not stressful at all. They were informative about benefits and job duties. It was a one-on-one interview, not overwhelming, and quick and to the point. I went in one day for a walkthrough with the maintenance lead and got a call to come in the next day for the interview. I had the interview the next day and got a call the following day stating I got the job. I've been to several interviews with other companies before where they had me jumping through hoops, but this interview process was prompt and professional.
- If you're currently working on a work order and a tenant requests your assistance, how would you handle that situation?
