First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital.
Clinical Social Worker
The interview process moved pretty fast. I had two interviews total. The first was a short phone call where they wanted to see if my skills matched what they needed and if I was really interested. Then, I had an in-person meeting with the Director and Assistant Director. They asked me a bunch of questions about clinical stuff. Everyone was really nice, and I felt pretty good about it all.
- Could you describe the type of patient you find most challenging to work with?
Physician
It's pretty straightforward. Sometimes it's virtual, but it can also be in-person. They're usually professional and really listen to you. It's a good work environment and a chance to help people who really need it. The chairman and program director seemed really invested in the residents' well-being, which is important given how tough work and residency can be. They were open to ideas and looked for new ways to improve things.
- What makes you want to work at BronxCare?
Registered Nurse
So I had an in-person meeting where we talked about my career history on my resume. It lasted about 30 minutes and was pretty neutral, not great but not bad. They offered me the position I applied for, but I ended up choosing a different opportunity.
- Can you elaborate on your career experiences?
- What equipment are you familiar with using?
- Could you detail your experience with various types of equipment?
Dentist
The interview process included a tour of the facilities and a chance to meet some of the residents. It was a one-on-one interview where they discussed the program and expectations. They asked general questions about you to understand your work ethic and goals. There was also time for a Q&A session.
- Tell me about yourself.
- What aspects of this program do you find appealing?
- What are your expectations for this training program?
