First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bronx Community Cable Programming.
Producer Intern
It was a good interview process. They asked about my college experience and my post-graduation goals. We went over my resume and discussed how my past experience could fit into working with BronxNet.
- In what ways can your experience be relevant to this internship?
Social Media Specialist
I applied on LinkedIn and then the executive assistant to the head of BronxNet reached out via email. We then had a Zoom meeting that was scheduled for an hour with 3 people. One person didn't speak the whole time, one person was condescending, and the other person asked good questions and was respectful, though they did check their phone. I sent a thank you email and two follow-ups but never heard back. It's not cool to ghost candidates!
- Can you tell me where you reside?
Reporter/Editor
The interview was pretty straightforward. Besides the usual questions like why you want to work here, the manager also asked me to watch a short package and then tell him what I liked about it, what should've been done differently, and why. This was all looked at from a reporter's perspective, covering shot composition, interview questions, framing, and so on.
- How do you see yourself contributing to our organization, and what specific skills do you possess that make you a strong candidate for this role?
Production Assistant
The interview process was really good and made me feel comfortable. Everyone was treated fairly, which was nice. I liked the interviewer and got a fast response after the interview.
- What makes you a suitable candidate for the role?
