First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Brocade.
Software Test Engineer
I had two rounds of interviews. The first was with the hiring manager, where I was asked basic networking questions and about a specific protocol from my resume. The second round was more in-depth. They asked about two other protocols from my resume, presented various testing scenarios, and inquired about packet behavior and modifications across different network levels. I was also asked to write one or two code snippets in TCL.
- Can you explain networking concepts?
- Tell me about the protocol mentioned on your resume.
- Let's discuss another protocol from your resume.
Software Test Engineer
This was a 6 round technical interview process. The interviewers were technically very good and asked relevant questions. To pass this interview, you need to have deep knowledge of networking protocols. They asked questions about protocols listed on my resume.
- Questions about OSPF, MPLS, packet flow, and writing test plans were asked. Some questions were scenario-based on OSPF.
- One round focused on troubleshooting skills for OSPF and MPLS.
Test Engineer
The interview process started with a phone interview where I was asked basic questions, and it seemed to go well. A week later, the Hiring Manager contacted me to arrange an onsite interview. This onsite was a 3-hour session with six interviewers, including engineers, a Director, and Senior Managers. They were all very professional and asked detailed technical questions about my past projects.
- Can you discuss your previous projects in detail?
- What is Ohm's Law?
