First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Broadspire.
Team Manager
The recruiter didn't contact me. A director sent a poorly written email instead. I then interviewed with two directors who seemed disinterested. After that, there was no follow-up or communication, so I had to check the portal myself to see that I wasn't chosen. My emails also went unanswered. If this is how they treat candidates, I can't imagine what it's like internally. I'd advise against this company.
- How would you deal with a low performer?
Claims Representative
The process was pretty standard, but they didn't ask too many questions. The manager was late, and the whole interview was only about 15 minutes. The manager mentioned that the work hours are 40 per week and that there are quarterly bonuses. Everyone who interviewed me asked at least 3 questions and they went over the hiring process and some best practices.
- What makes you want to work here?
Claims Examiner
The process was very straightforward. A recruiter reached out first for a phone screen, which was pretty basic, covering my background and providing information about the role, company, and benefits. After that, I had an interview with a team manager and the hiring manager on the same day. They discussed my experience and what I could contribute. They also gave me a detailed look at the specific job duties, workload, and expectations. It was all very friendly and straightforward, and a few days later I got an offer.
- Can you describe how you manage challenging clients or customers?
- What steps would you take to de-escalate a situation with an upset caller who is threatening legal action?
- Could you give us a summary of your background and experience, and explain why you believe you're a strong fit for this role?
Consultant Analyst
I had two interviews. The first was a 30-minute phone chat, and then four days later, I had a 2-hour in-person interview in the city. It was a long one but went really smoothly, and I got good feedback from both interviewers. What was annoying though, was that I never heard back from them. They said I'd know about next steps within a week, but after nothing, I reached out. They again said they'd let me know in a few days. It's been almost two months now and still nothing! It was frustrating to take time off work to go into the city and then not get any real communication afterwards.
- Could you read these bar graphs and tell me about the correlations you see between these insurance statistics?
