Programme Manager
The interview panel consisted of the team leader and two regional representatives as the role is a regional one. The interview lasted for about an hour and was conducted entirely in English. It covered past experiences, sector knowledge, and expertise.
- Tell me about a time you had to...
Program Manager
The interview asked questions related to your CV and the core skills mentioned in the role profile. The panel was interested in real-time examples from your professional experience. They want to know about your contribution rather than team achievements. The STAR approach is preferred. Try to keep your answers concise during the interview.
- What motivates your interest in this position?
- What are your motivations for applying for this role?
- What challenges do you anticipate in this role?
Program Manager
Standard UK Civil Services process and capability based interview, done over skype at the panels suggestion. Panel had problems operating the tech (microphone not plugged in, laptop running out of charge) and several of the questions asked could only have been fully answered by an internal candidate very familiar with the internal operations of the team the role was with.
- What is the biggest problem the team has and how would you fix this.
