It was a 3 stage process. The first was a screening call, then a virtual interview, and the final interview was in person. It was a thorough process with a consistent approach. The questions were driven by the need to provide real-life examples. Although the interview process itself is pretty bog-standard, the waiting times between each interview stage were not competitive. In my case, it took 8 weeks end-to-end.

Applied and got an email after 2 days asking me to pick a 15-min slot for a screening call within a few days. I picked one for the next day, but they booked me for a different time. After the call, I got a text asking me to attend a second interview with some timeslots offered for the following week. I asked if it was in person so I could plan my travel. The next day, I got two texts saying it was in person and that they'd secured me a date because they were running out of slots. Before I could reply, they sent another text saying they wouldn't be proceeding and to call them. When I called back, they said I passed the first interview but due to a communication issue, they mistakenly asked me to progress. They now wouldn't proceed unless I was flexible on salary (I was 1K over budget) and in-office working (with a 2hr+ commute). It felt disorganized and unclear, making me glad I didn't waste my time on a second interview. They didn't seem to value my time, maybe hiring in a rush. Felt like the 1K thing was a bit of a trick. Odd they're not using their online portal but relying on last-minute emails and unclear texts.

Applied online via ba.com. The process was slow, taking about a month to get a phone interview. That call had project management questions with two interviewers. Then there was a face to face at Waterside with two people, one of whom is my boss now. They were nice and didn't try to trick me. I got the offer the same day, but didn't start for 3 months. Be warned, background checks are really slow and thorough.
