Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at British Airways.
Manager
The interview process was good and felt fair. It was professional, well-run, and the interviewer knew their job well. The process was timely. Information was provided, and questions were answered. The process was explained well. I would go through the process again if future roles come up that I'd be interested in.
- What specific value would you contribute to this position?
Management
This was the worst interview experience ever, super cold, slow, and pretentious. The communication throughout the recruitment process was really bad, and my emails went unanswered. It's disappointing that they don't provide feedback, especially considering how much time I invested, and it's not like it's a high-volume role like cabin crew.
- Can you explain your motivation for applying to this position?
- What makes you want to work for this particular company?
- Could you identify and discuss the company's competitors?
Commercial Manager
I had a pre-screening call with some managers, then a second interview that included a presentation, interview questions, and a commercial task. It was about 90 minutes long.
- What's your strategy for negotiating a better contract with a supplier who has found better deals elsewhere?
