The whole interview process took over 3 months. It started with a phone screening with the hiring manager. Then, there was a 6-hour panel interview where I met the team. I often had to wait 2-3 weeks longer than expected for responses. The recruiter was helpful during these waits, but the hiring manager was not very responsive.

Got a call out of the blue a few weeks after applying. They asked some technical questions. Then HR emailed for an onsite. It was hours long with five 45-minute bits, no breaks. My last interviewer didn't even show up. The guys who interviewed me seemed annoyed, probably from a bad day, and were as nervous as me. One director spent 25 mins talking about himself, not the job.

I applied online and got a call for a phone interview the very next day. The associate director asked about my past work, projects, and responsibilities, along with some behavioral questions. The next day, I went in for a longer interview. I made sure to bring extra resumes, research the role, review my notes, and practice behavioral answers. The interview lasted over two hours and involved nine people: the associate director, three pairs of staff members (some with advanced degrees), the director, and HR. They were all very friendly and asked about my experience with hybridoma processes, previous jobs, and whether I'd be a good fit culturally and knowledge-wise. The director was energetic and wanted quick answers, which helped me show my personality. The HR person was very pleasant, making it feel like a friendly chat, as did the others. I got a tour of the facilities, including offices and labs with modern equipment. After two weeks, I had a follow-up call with the associate director to confirm my interest, discuss my future goals, and talk about salary expectations. About three and a half weeks later, I got a call from HR offering me the position.
