Software Test Engineer
I went through a referral drive in August, it was a pretty good experience overall. There were a total of 4 rounds. The first was a group discussion (GD) to check communication skills, just be confident. The second was a written test with aptitude, logical reasoning (LR), and verbal ability (VA) questions, so manage your time. The third was a technical interview where they asked about things mentioned on my resume.
- What are the Oops concepts and Java basics?
Test Engineer
I interviewed in Jan 2017 via a consultancy. When I arrived at 4PM, there was no one to greet or guide me; I had to find my way and submit my resume myself. The HR person was very rude, unprofessional, and arrogant, and didn't answer my questions. I saw people waiting for 3-4 hours, skipping meals. They had manual openings but asked about JAVA. The interview felt rushed. I was selected and then discussed salary with HR, asking for the salary structure, which she didn't provide. Calls were met with 'HR is busy,' though she'd answer if called from another number. I declined their offer. They're not fit for IT.
- Can you explain JAVA?
- Tell me about yourself.
- Why are you interested in this role?
Software Test Engineer
First, there was an online aptitude test which was just average. Shortlisted candidates were then called for what they called a "personal interview" in the email. However, upon reaching the office, I found out there was also an off-campus drive happening simultaneously. Candidates who hadn't even taken the aptitude test were in the GD round with us. They formed groups of 10 and would select only 1 person for the next rounds. For the GD round, even if 2 candidates did exceptionally well, they would pick only one, as if they were flipping a coin. Such a partial team with no proper management.
- Make sure to prepare well for general aptitude questions.
