First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Brio Energy.
Sales Representative
I did 2 phone interviews initially. The first one was with the local manager, and the second one was with a divisional manager who is based in Utah. After those calls, I went to the local Charlotte office for an in-person meeting with the manager, and then they offered me the position. It was a really good and quick process overall.
- What are your goals?
- What about our job posting caught your eye?
- How do you feel about having face-to-face conversations with homeowners?
Appointment Setter
The interview was practically nonexistent; I was simply asked to come in the next day. Then, I had to roleplay my pitch, which I had memorized, to one of the corporate guys to get approval to leave the office. He told me I was doing it wrong. Why give a pitch to a new employee that isn't the correct one? The process of refining my pitch took an entire pay period. Run, people. This is a canvassing position for a company that doesn't care about you, or the solar energy they are installing. They care about how much you're willing to risk yourself.
- Could you start working tomorrow?
General Manager
They were looking for someone who Cares like they Care, Sacrifices like they Sacrifice, and Gives 100%. I immediately started selling myself like I've done in past interviews, but they cut me off and said that didn't matter to them. It was awesome.
- Were you able to demonstrate that you care like they care, sacrifice like they sacrifice, and give 100%?
Energy Consultant
They will talk with you to gauge your ability to sell. Then they want you to be able to sell them using their sales model before you can go out to sell. So the interview process is sort of easy it is the roleplay selling part that is hard to pass.
- Can you tell me about your past sales performance?
