I interviewed with Brightspot for a part-time, temporary gig covering a maternity leave. It was a pretty involved process with multiple interviews, and I put in a good chunk of time prepping and actually doing them. I kept asking about their DEIA stuff, and they kept saying diversity and inclusion were super important to them. But then, in the last virtual interview, I mentioned I'm disabled and would need to wear a mask if I got the job. The senior person I was talking to totally changed their vibe, and it felt like the whole mood shifted. Not long after, I didn't get the offer. I tried to get feedback, but they ghosted me, which was really unprofessional. Some people on the team were nice and professional, but this whole thing made me wonder how truly inclusive they are, especially for disabled folks. Some good points were that some team members were professional and polite, and scheduling was clear. But it was a time sink for a temp, part-time role, the final interview seemed to tank my chances after I disclosed my disability, I got no feedback, and the leadership's reaction made me question their inclusivity.

Applied, and the very next day, I got an email from the company recruiter. We then scheduled a phone call. During the call, they asked regular questions like, 'Do you know about the company?', 'What's your salary arrangement?', 'What are you currently doing at your company?', and 'Do you have an on-call rotation?', among others.

I initially chatted with a recruiter at my University Career Fair. A few days later, I had a 30-minute interview. About a week after that, I set up an onsite interview. Before the onsite, I was given a technical challenge to complete. The onsite itself was a half-day event, including technical interviews, cultural fit interviews, and a meeting with the chief architect.

Behavioral Other

I had a short interview where the interviewer was multitasking with other calls and made me wait outside for 15 minutes. The interviewer mostly talked at me, critiqued my marketing experience, and spoke down to me. They asked about my previous team from 8 years ago and if I could replicate it in a 'try before buy' scenario. It was a very disrespectful and rude experience.
