The interview process was redundant and confusing. I went through 4 interviews and had to create a PowerPoint presentation. It felt like they were looking for managers who would give simple positive feedback to staff.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

This was a super long and tough interview process, especially for a role that wasn't even manager or director level. I went through over 6 interviews plus a project and presentation. The interviews themselves were pretty standard difficulty-wise, but honestly, after all that, they still weren't sure what they were looking for and put the position on hold. I almost got ghosted, had to keep pushing to get an update on their decision.

So I applied for the role and got an auto-response saying they had a lot of applicants. It said if I wanted to move forward, I had to do some tasks and email them back. This involved making a sample itinerary, writing a thank you note, and answering two quick questions. Once I did that, they asked me to do a phone interview. After the phone interview with the CEO, I went in for an in-person interview with him. It didn't go great, even though I was really into the role and pretty qualified. He actually took a call during the interview and seemed really skeptical when he asked why I only stayed at my last couple of jobs for about a year each, which was due to personal reasons. After the in-person meeting, I sent a thank you email and then another follow-up a week later, but heard nothing back. Even though his colleague was copied on both, I never got a response, not even a standard 'we hired someone else.' It was pretty unprofessional and left me wondering if this is normal.

The first step was a phone screening to check if my expectations for the job were aligned and if I was qualified. After that, I had an in-person interview which included a tour of the facility. The staff were nice, and the hiring manager and HR were happy to answer all my questions. They were very upfront about everything. I got my offer later that week.
